I agree ... haven't the rights to The Fellowship Of The Ring film now be sold, think I saw a Marvel type thing will be made using those rights.
I'm already polishing the needle to poke my eyes out.

But, the shiny new copy of The Silmarillion lands in a couple of weeks, along with Numenor.

I recall seeing it for the first time & was blown away. But watching it now, some of the acting is really quite poor.
Hugo Weaving is awful & Sean Bean isn't much better.

We watched ROTK last week for family movie night. I have to say, while they might be true to the books in terms of how female characters are portrayed, it’s laughable how one dimensional the three of them are. Two modes: cry or coo.

maybe, but in comparsion with Rings Of Power it's still masterpiece in all parameters
