So ..... things to remember, a balrog can sleep through the din of Dwarves happily banging away on rocks with big, huge, hefty hammers, but, a falling leaf will awaken it.
I have a spare copy of The Art Of The Lord Of The Rings if you need one, it came very slightly damaged, so they sent another and let me keep the original. The only damage is to the slip cover, the rest is immaculate.
Tidying up at 6am and finally got round to opening this lot, yes, I still have other copies sealed in their cellophane and boxes ... .. . Sadly, the nameless one has sold all my valuable copies.

Think I have a copy of this one. It's all the historic maps and the Tolkien sketches rather than the film art stuff, isn't it?
Ah ... so he was Sauron, and The Stranger could be Gandalf, or somebody else. I hope he isn't Gandalf, but I don't see what other wizard it could be, I can't see it being Radagast or one of the Blue Wizards, Saruman maybe, or a brand-new super wizard, Nathandalf!
I'm watching it as if it's nothing to do with Tolkien, it just has characters similar to ones Tolkien created. I can't believe The Strange can be Gandalf, even if he did use the same "just follow your nose" quote Gandalf used .... I think that's to convince us he is Gandalf but really, it's Isildur looking a bit tatty after a barn fell on him and caught fire.
I've had a six-hour twitter DM argument/debate with someone who is a self confessed Tolkien expert, he says it's crap because it's inaccurate, I tried to explain it can't be an exact copy of Tolkien's work as they aren't allowed to use the vast majority of his writings, whilst I agree there was no mention of Galadriel ever visiting Numenor there isn't actually anything to say she didn't, and her history is so sparse she may rent a holiday villa on the beach and sell elvish ice cream to the locals, I'd buy!
Anyway, treat it as a Tolkien project and it's irritating, watch it is an elf, wizard, dwarf type thing and it's okay so far - it needs to liven up sharpish though.

My question is: Why create something you don't have the rights for? There are stories greatly written about that and if you can't use it, of course you will piss off the fans with your poorly written story. They could easily choose 4th age and have almost no limits with creating that. Haven't seen last two episodes yet and the quality of 5-6th episodes was kinda better than the start, but still...

They've spent their money, they have access to the Second age stuff and characters and then proceed to make up their own stories and characters. It is a puzzle...
Imagine pitching a story beat of Sauron kills someone in an alley brawl and spents a night in the cells... And no-one in the room telling them to be serious or get out! Bizarre.
