Well, at least if they get in and accept I can walk to the ceremony venue (can see it from my roof) and try to ply them with drinks to drown their sorrows. Actually, I would kind of hope they might say, "No thanks" to that award.

Is the RnRHoF really based in Ohio? Oh, that explains a lot.

It is. And I was just going to post a thread about it. Although I must change the title Kristie! Sorry. I know we are all pizzed off at the Rock Hall because it is way too long for The Cure to get in and although overall it means nothing to us and probably means nothing to them I still want them in. We need representation for OUR music and OUR peeps.

the cure are #3. not bad. i voted cure, radiohead, roxy music, todd rundgren & (sorry) def leppard. had an adventure with the def lep that i can't talk about as i don't think the statute of limitations is up yet, haha. s0202

I originally titled the thread with the word "shame" because I view them much like I view the "Academy" that doles out the Oscars: a bunch of faceless suits (OK, maybe LA suits - jacket, jeans and a tee-shirt) who sanction the tastes of the masses. Through what authority? Does anyone really know? Who are these people and what have they accomplished in the world of music?

After I created this thread I saw there is another on the topic in Other Voices & Noises. The "Other Noise" must be the giant sucking sound coming from Ohio.

you can vote once a day. it's not all bad. there's some interesting stuff on the site. if i were in cleveland (not bloody likely) i'd go check it out. the nominating process is seriously whack though. the cultural imperialists, haha.
