I listened to that the other day, should have had a 3 disc Deluxe release - original unedited release and then full show/extra tracks on discs 2 & 3...
Reeves is now in but still Andy, Phil and Matthieu are out.
I think is weird because Reeves despite being in the band since 2012, and as far as we know, he´s not recorded any official material with the band.
Maybe Rob decides to put him in because they´ll release new material with the current line-up.
Though this, the other 3 should be inducted too.
It has nothing to do with Robert who gets inducted. & I don't think Andy, Phil or Matthieu should be on the list. Phil only played on the 84 tour & not on The Top. That was Robert. Dempsey shouldn't be on the list either. He was in the band for less time than Phil was. If you're to go with the HoF's criteria for inclusion it should consider only the members that put the band on the "map". Whatever the HoF's definition of map is.

Ok, I see your point.
I thought the bands or the leader decides which members will be inducted and say to the HoF board.
Let´s see what happens at the end.
There Was Nothing in the World that I Ever Wanted More than to Feel You Deep in My Heart...
Yeah, the whole selection process is all shrouded in mystery like the nomination process. Although there's a people's vote online it has little or no bearing on who the HoF "experts" eventually induct.

Reeves has been in the music business a long time and totally deserves to be in and I'm glad he will be and most of all glad it will be with The Cure!!
And I agree with you, were it up to Robert as leader (or even to the current band collectively), I feel sure that all musicians who made music as part of The Cure, over time, would be included for induction.
Indeed, I think The Cure are rather uncommon among bands in that the writing credits for songs seem in virtually every case to include each member musician present. One would think that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame would have taken note of this distinction as marking a band that is in a deeply intentional as well as a quite practical way all for one and one for for all. Compare the writing credits on various other bands' albums to see what I mean.
From Consequence of Sound: Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor has been tapped to introduce The Cure. Reznor has been a fan of The Cure since he was 18, as he told The Quietus in interview last year. “The Cure were one of those bands that really struck a chord and Head On The Door is the album that made them really important to me. I got into that and then worked my way backwards. That album got me through a lot of long dark times. I felt that this Robert Smith guy really understood who I was and I loved The Cure from that point on.” Last year, Smith personally booked Nine Inch Nails to play his Meltdown Festival.
Reznor, previously said he “couldn’t given less of a sh*t” about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (NIN has not received a nomination since 2016). However, it seems he’ll feign interest, at least for one night, due to his love of The Cure.

I can just picture Trent, doing the washing up and humming along to Six Different Ways...
