With the bass player from Radiohead. I'm kind of glad he's not playing Seattle. Nick's gotten expensive & I'm hoping I need to get another Cure ticket when they announce the add on shows. I'll go if they play Portland & I would be super tempted by Vegas, if they add either of those cities. Bend, OR would be a pipedream as it's too small by half. Fantastic venue though.
Nick's description of touring might change your mind about being a professional musician...
It's never sounded like fun to me. It's not like you have time or energy to hang out and relax or spend any real time with people you know in an area. Grueling.

Got my ticket for the Cleveland show. Was able to snag front row, but it the ticket buying process wasn't smooth by any stretch. My specific artist presale code that was texted and emailed never worked for me. On a whim I plugged in the word "SOLO" and got in. The artist presale sold out in under five minutes. Must've not had many tickets allocated for that group at all. (I can't imagine there are that many Nick Cave fans in Northeast Ohio, especially when he's also playing Detroit on this same tour.) They now seem to have added a third presale code ("CAVE") that looks like it's the entire remaining seats of the venue. If someone slept on this and logs in Friday morning for the general sale, they are going to be disappointed at the available selection.
Ticket buying has become a game, a sport, and a setup for disappointment. It's not for the faint of heart, and it's not for the poor.

Saw Nick last night. Definitely prefer him with the Bad Seeds, but still a good show. I always find those sort of quiet theatre shows have a weird vibe. And in the Midwest people just can’t control themselves and there are always a few who have to yell out to the artist in the quiet moments between songs. 🙄
Seems weird he has Colin with him on bass this tour. He seemed a bit superfluous, to be honest. We did get a song Nick has never played live and probably never will again… an untitled number that didn’t make it on Ghosteen, I believe. And the Grinderman song was everything I could’ve hoped for.
Some snaps from the night…
End of the night ended up at a bar with friends drinking with the CEO of the Rock Hall. It got… interesting.
Just listened to a Bad Seeds show from Stockholm a few weeks ago. It was stunning! Really good mix of new stuff & older stuff. A solid 2 hour show. The band is sounding really locked in. Have to wait for May for my show. D'oh!
