steve's new gaff

Have to paint the cement floor in the "engine room" (where the heat pump & buffer tank etc. live).
This is after scraping off all the lumps of plaster, sweeping & vacuuming, & coating it with a deep nano primer to seal in all the dust & small particles.

& this is after the first coat of paint which, for the base coat, needs to be mixed 1:1 with water so it gets into all the nooks & crannies in the surface.


I can't quite get my head around how different it looks.

Just checked the painting in the garage.
3rd layer tomorrow morning.
Painting virgin walls is a real PITA

Now all the walls are painted, it's door frames day today. Transforming from a horrid dark green to a nice clean looking white


Going to have to add a second coat tomorrow & , if I'm in the mood, I might even paint the doors.

Just three doors. The one that was at the bottom of the stairs got sawn up & burned.

Just the first coat. Only took 5 minutes with the roller. Needs 24 hours before a second coat goes on.

That's correct. No Shaky themed doors here finally.

Making a start on the stairs down to the basement today.
