I've seen the first 3 and have one more left to watch during the break.
So far, I absolutely love it. So much to think about in the double length opener but the last 5 minutes and the credits scene just put us 100% back in that world. Episode 3 managed more in 5 minutes than Dr Who has managed since it came back to the screens
And someone sitting motionless in a room staring at an empty glass box in silence is perfect Lynch.
I'll try to watch 2nd and 3rd tonight. First one was pure Lynch. I loved all the glass box stuff. And the fact that is located in multiple places. And the mood. And the pace... and ...and ...
The establishing skyline shots for NYC just before the box were spectacular on a scale Lynch hasn't really tried since Dune. Yeah, the geography is pretty broad - still so many old locations yet to turn up
Ha, this thread is even quieter than I expected! Seen all 4 now and it's starting to feel like all the pieces are slowly moving into place.
Nice to put a face & character for the narrator of this:
Definitely a companion piece rather than absolute cannon but does cover a lot of backstory for the main characters. Not read the book (which is apparently quite pretty) but the audiobook is a solid 9 hours of 500 years of Twin Peaks history.
OK... You two guys are not alone... Tonight I'm starting my adventure with a new Twin Peaks with rewatching all old seasons. I must add I was at the cinema a couple of weeks ago to rewatch Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. I liked it...
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.

3 is the magic number!
If you have the opportunity I recommend watching the deleted scenes from FWWM - there's about 90 minutes of extra stuff all cut together by Lynch, all the missing characters and loads more of this guy:
czuczu, I've never seen those deleted scenes. Don't have them either but I'll try to find them, they might be interesting, the guy included
So far, I'm simply delighted with my come back to Twin Peaks. It's abslutely amazing, I feel the same as I did as a teenager watching it for the first time. I'm sitting with my eyes wide open and sometimes also my mouth, I guess... How I love the entering deeper and deeper with every layer in that place, people and mood where nothing really is as it seems. I feel almost like in heaven...

Its back! And is set for a regular weekly schedule until 3rd Sept when it finishes with a double episode.
My other half thought this was the best episode so far; she's definitely at the soap opera/comedy/drama of the TP scale though and isn't a fan of some of the more unsettling stuff. Kyle MacLachlan is nailing this, he's just so watchable. And we're onto our 3rd generation of badboys at the R&R and the Bang Bang - nothing changes!
Time to start moving the story from the coasts back to the town now
I loved all of that stuff - I'm sure he's recycled some of his Ronnie Rocket and alternating current/electricity ideas for those scenes. That whole journey from the black lodge to Dougie is the best thing of the relaunch. I'm guessing at some point Dougie is gonna have to go but I'm going to miss him. That scene where he's crying looking at the boy in the car is so strong but why?!?!?
I've thought of saving them and binge big chunks on one go but I think it's so dense that I can re-watch the early episodes again while waiting for the new installments.
I've also got a the new transfer of Mulholland Drive to enjoy in between episode:)
