Gah, I know I am super late to this party, but Netflix suggested I watch...and having never watched in the 90s I thought, why not?
Immediately into Season 1 Episode 1, how is this not insane plagiarism of The Funeral Party? Mr. Angelo Badalamenti, you used a mighty heavy hand sir in your composition of the "Twin Peaks Theme".
Okay, sorry to interrupt your conversation with a very obvious observation! Back to regularly scheduled discussion

Haha - I'd never even noticed the bassline similarities before and I've listened to both squillions of times! They do go in different directions after the intros - I suspect coincidence rather than plagiarism Impossible for me to hear the Badalamenti tune without thinking about Laura.
Weird entrance for Audrey, almost just thrown away. My fav bit was her husband complaining he didn't have a crystal ball and couldn't see the future when there was clearly a crystal ball on his desk
Loving the Sarah Palmer stuff. And her fan. And what is in her kitchen?
It was a bit disjointed but I have a feeling it will all be revealed soon...
I found the scene a bit boring. But, what really bugged me, was Sherilyn Fenn's acting. I think it was very poor.
It definitely pulled me out of the episode which hasn't really happened at all this season, they've got so much right but this scene did feel like a clunker. Maybe David doesn't think she's five feet of heaven in a pony tail anymore...
Gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and trust he's going somewhere with her character!
I cannot think of another program that is has so much in it but is absolutely impossible to predict. And I take back what I said I about Audrey's opening scene - I just wasn't ready to understand it. I don't understand it now but he's clearly going somewhere with it even if she's clearly going nowhere!
Also, this guy:
Phillip Jefferies seems happier as a kettle than he did when he looked like he was in Tin Machine Who is Judy?
