I woke up about 3 times during the night with it going round and round in my head. Am now boring people at work about it - none of whom have been watching it
What the heck happened? I am still thinking about it!
We're not going to talk about Judy. In fact, we're not gonna talk about Judy at all, we're gonna keep her out of it!
^ Judy?
^ Mrs Chalfont / Tremond & 'grandson'
I need to watch it again, not ready to start yet though. If they never make any more then I would be satisfied with that ending but it is so good, it would be a shame if there was no more (I don't need to have everything tied up with a nice bow!)
Watched last night. Jawdropping. Still processing.
A couple of things: the scene when Coop meets Laura it's mirroring the Vertigo scene where James Stewart finds Kim Novak under her new identity. How she was called under this new identity? Judy.
In the first Twin Peaks season, Laura Palmer's cousin is called Madeleine Ferguson. In Vertigo, Kim Novak is called Madeleine on the first part and Ferguson it's Stewart's last name.
Seems like Lynch persues the old Hitch obsession with identities, decieve, deception, dellusion and even bringing the dead back (with little fortune, btw)
And the last scene strongly reminded me of it's a wonderful life, of course. Pottersville...
Anyway... masterpiece to be enjoyed and disected again and again and again...
I saw the Blue Rose edit of FWWM for the first time and it's well worth tracking down - 3hrs 15min with loads of the missing scenes re-inserted into the film. It flows really nicely and there are loads of details that are much clearer in my head now. And, by weird coincidence, I found out after that yesterday was the fictional anniversary of Laura's death.

Spooky!
Never heard of it before. Just learn it is a fan edit. Where can I see it?

It's all so perfectly added, it just feels new and familiar at the same time. Apart from the obvious Bowie stuff, which is quite striking, I couldn't really tell what was new and old while watching.
