Artwork made by me (and of course inspired of the fantastic work of Andy vella) for the Riga show
This is really beautiful, thanks for sharing!

So it's been over a week since the first show of the tour, but to me it feels like a longer time. Looking back on it, it makes me smile and I'll never forget this night as I've dreamed for years for it to happen ❤️. Seeing my favourite band in my home country was the best, I also couldn't believe it was happening :-D I was a bit adrift the whole time and everything settled in my mind only aftter the show when I got back home.
I was earlier at the arena and managed to get to the first row (another dream come true!). Usually all this waiting for the show to start and all the waiting in between feels like forever but that night it went by very quickly. It was lovely to meet other fans, who traveled from all over the world to see The Cure.
And it was great to see The Twilight Sad again, I really enjoyed their show, this time even more than the previous times I've seen them.
Then it was time for The Cure. The only music that was playing while everyone was waiting for them were rain and thunder sounds. That made me think and hope for Prayers for Rain. It was very quiet and calm. Then stars showed up on the screen and rain and thunder sounds got louder and crow got louder too. Show was about to start and it was an unusual start. My heart almost stopped as I thought they'd start with Underneath The Stars (another secret dream of mine). But it was something even bigger - it was a new song and it was a great song! I loved visuals, the floating Earth in space, made me think of how I'm there now and how this show is happening there. How big it meant for me, yet how small it was copmared to space... I really loved lights for this song. It worked very well together and it was a good opening song.
Then the Pictures of You came and you know the rest. It was a beautiful night, The Cure sounded fantastic, the audience was happy to see them. First night of the tour is probably one of the hardest, so I hope the band felt welcomed and happy here too and enjoyed the night as much as the fans did ❤️.
As there are now more members on stage - I never thought I'd see Perry play, it was a nice surprise!, you could really hear on some songs especially that they sounded differently. The visuals were a little different too.
Another nice surprise was another new song with which they finished the mainset. I fell in love with it right away and even shed a little tear seeing how it was perfomed so movingly. Being one of the very first people who got to hear these songs for the very first time was something truly special that I'll treasure forever.
I really appreciated the Disintegration encore. And as Robert asked us to bear with the second pop encore, that's what I did :-D But it was fun dancing around and I do believe their idea of sending us home happy this way worked. I went together with my best friend and it was her first time seeing The Twilight Sad and The Cure. She said that she really liked the concert and would love to do it all over again. And my boyfriend mentioned that there were a lot of good reviews on Twitter, I wouldn't know since I don't use it, but on other social media I saw that people were very happy :-) We really waited a long time for them to play here and we hope to see them again here someday ❤️.
