Well that was fun. Despite my technical ineptitude with that POS called instagraph. Was kind of hoping for a few more new songs, but it's early doors yet. Thank you to The Cure for being simply one of the best bands on the planet really. & thank you to Pipperoo for helping out . It's quite hard flying solo on these things. & thank you to you all for joining in to make these threads the most funnest threads ever. Without you all it would be a darn sight more dull. steve @ Pipperoo Thanks!! It feels good to know that we are back at it again. I didn't get a chance to watch the whole thing live but it was good to see the gang/band back at it again. I can't wait to see all of you on tour. Hope to keep up with the new songs as the new albums is sure to follow..

This is a weird choice of photo. Firstly, the images on the back drop are all back to front. Then, after watching the video's on YT, he doesn't even use that guitar in the song.
Had a great time in Riga (a very clean city by the way – very nice)
Atmosphere at the show was great and the new songs sounded awesome. Hopefully we get a bit more of new stuff during the next weeks.

I also was surprised when he came out on stage. But to be honest he seemed pretty lost throughout the show and I asked myself .. is it really necessary to place a second keyboard and a third guitar .. ?

I'm liking the new songs immensely. Maybe it's the excitement of actually getting to hear them at long last but I do think they are very good. Alone is pretty Want/ Underneath The Stars-ish. Perfect opener really. Endsong seems to have a lot going on. Lots of layers of stuff with understated guitar twiddling. Much like Faith in a way. But it's nowhere near as sparse & more of a sonic wall of doom. I'd dearly like to hear the studio takes as I'm not sure the YT videos are the best way to really judge them properly. I hope there are some more up-tempo tunes to be unleashed though. Along the lines of It's Over or SDS even.
