The current "heating system" to keep the temperature up so everything dries.
The best part & downstairs is finally all tiled
The good news about this is that we don't need to have the door replaced. There was a real fear that there wouldn't be clearance between the tiles & the bottom of the door & it couldn't be adjusted any more than it already had been. Miraculously everything worked out with about 2mm to spare. That would have been a very expensive installation otherwise.
Reached a milestone today. After months of destroying, rebuilding, insulating, re-surfacing & tiling, alongside installation of under-floor heating & the pump equipment, today was the big switch on
Need to ramp it up gradually over the next few days to get an ambient temperature of at least 15ºc so the plastering can be started.
Been at the house tidying up ahead of some work that's happening over the next couple of weeks. All the firewood's been used up I can remove the wood burner finally. But the best thing was walking in there & feeling the difference now the floor heating's been running a couple of days. All the floor tiles have warmed up so the floor is like a giant radiator. It's wonderful.
