I drove down to West Virginia from NY on Thursday and spent the weekend visiting three different friends in the area. The one I've known the *least* amount of time I've known for 33 years. It was an amazing and beautiful trip. It reminded me that old friends are gold.
Here's the B&B I stayed at with the first friend.
Then I visited my friend and her husband who live on the side of a mountain above the Shenandoah River. I stopped by a historic town with a train tunnel and foot bridge and that was the sight of abolitionist John Brown's fort. It was freezing and we sat in the hot tub on the deck for 2 1/2 hours. Their yard is the woods.
