They were breaking gathering restrictions which right now limit gatherings to six people at most. The organizers of the protests had made an agreement with the police to limit people to groups of at most six people, and only 15 such groups were allowed. Of course, that didn't happen... there was one group of hundreds of people messing around.
Then there should be fines dished out. Moreover, there should be stay at home orders for all those in breach. Let them see how a lockdown really feels like
I would lockdown all these people in the same flat for a month.

We need to bring back leper colonies for the COVIDiots

Well, I didn’t want to sound totallitarian. I know my post sounded too harsh. But it really makes me angry to see these kind of irresponsible behaviour all around the globe when a lot of people is risking their lives (and dying) trying to save everybody’s life.

My youngest (in college out of state) called me Friday about a runny nose and sore throat. He rested up all day Friday (did his classes online from his dorm room) and Saturday, and then felt better yesterday. Woke up this morning with the sniffles back and a cough, so he went to the campus clinic and tested positive for COVID.
The university has him setup at a local hotel. Meals are delivered, taking classes online, nurse check ins daily for the next ten days. If he doesn't have a fever (which he hasn't so far), and his couple of symptoms have gotten better by next Monday, he can leave isolation next Tuesday and resume school in-person and go back to dorm life.
He has one roommate, who was notified via contact tracing, but becuase my son really just rested all weekend, that was the only exposure. Thankfully.
Fingers crossed his symptoms don't get any worse than mild cold-like symptoms. My wife is a bit freaked out, but there really isn't anything we can do for him from here and the school seems to be taking good are of him. The irony is that he was scheduled to get the J&J vaccine at school next Monday.
Oh, no. Glad he’s feeling relatively OK, weedyburton79. I can understand why your wife is concerned. Hang in there and here’s hoping it passes without incident.
Cases from the variants throughout this province are exploding. Very few people have been immunized due poor planning and lack of homegrown resources (ie. Canada doesn’t produce its own vaccines; the labs that once produced them were closed down many many years ago).
Had another test yesterday, thankfully the results came back negative!
I'm quite angry. I went shopping today for my elderly friends as it's a long weekend coming up. Just about everyone & their dog is down from plague city (Budapest) to stay at their summer houses and the shops were totally rammed with morons who still seem unable to grasp the concept of masks covering faces including noses. Not to mention these erseholes have absolutely no manners at all. It's no wonder the capital is rife with the lurgy. & now they bring it down to Fured to share with us. Wonderful
weedyburton79 I hope your son is all right and is going through that awful illness as gently as possible. Who would know that being a part of the gen pop is a desirable thing? May he get well very soon.
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.

The charm of living in beautiful and popular place... Sorry you have all those irresponsible people terrorizing your town, Steve.
In Poland things are going wrong, there are more than 30.000 new cases per day. The govt considers a ban on travelling. They woke up much too late with closing everything besides essential stores but better late than never. Such a ban would help a lot also in your area.
