I had to return something to a store in TriBeCa today in Manhattan. I haven't been to that neighborhood in years. SO much conspicuous wealth there, it was pretty astonishing. A decade ago I used to work there at Citigroup, in an office with a row of high heels stored under my desk. I walked by my old office building and it was really surreal. That seems a lifetime ago and is so foreign to me, now.
I also sat on a bench at City Hall for a while people watching and listening to various protests. My feet are covered in blisters from walking so much in new shoes.
I think I could love it, too @notkristie I've never been to NY, I "know" it from the movies only but it is one of two, maybe three American cities I'd really love to visit.
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.

I walked home through the cemetery right before it closed this evening. It was a perfect pre-Halloween night to be there. Cloudy and windy.
This is the edge of a hill I can't stand walking on. It's just super creepy feeling. It's public lot area that's like a meadow. They let the grass get really long and it feels super old. You're always sinking way down unexpectedly if you walk on it. I mostly steer clear.
