Fourth day in a row in the cemetery. It's good for getting lost for 1.5 - 2 hours. It's really quiet in some spots and there's tons of great birdwatching and birdsong. I can go there and actually forget I live in the city. I imagine how nice it must be in the middle of the night. 150 trees were felled here during Hurricane Sandy.
There happens to be a bakery right across the street from the entrance. So now I buy a donut and eat it in the middle of my walk.
This photo was taken outside my mom’s place on April 2! All the snow had melted two weeks ago And then we were walloped with 25-30 cm of the white stuff. It’s all gone but sheesh guess that’s just life in a northern town.
Night time COVID constitutional. If the city were always this empty and the air this clean, I might actually like it OK here. I did see a couple of d-bags in hot rods revving it up. But I also got to see a cute guy in his pajamas ripping up cardboard outside his apartment.
Metal trash can
Empty street
Bodega cat guarding flowers
Huge refrigerated truck at the hospital, 60 feet long?
Walked five miles to and from an imaging office for a medical appointment today in the rain. It took me by the site of TC's 2019 R&RHoF induction. Good memories...
Last weekend, someone put a fine, handcrafted toilet in the alley behind our building. Lots of unsavory stuff goes on back there, from kids groping at each other after school (in the old days) to drug deals and prostitution. So I dubbed it the "murder toilet."
Sadly, it was hauled off by the parks department yesterday and crushed in a trash truck. Oh, murder toilet, we hardly knew ya.
Saw this on an entire fleet of trash trucks that park in an industrial area near our area. This is actually quite related to TC, as I always think of that story about the gig they played with him where he was with some lady in the toilets and Lol peed on his leg... Wasn't that it? How romantic!
