Had to go into Manhattan this morning for a medical appointment. Many people skipped work today or didn't have to go in b/c of Thanksgiving tomorrow, so it was pleasantly empty, save for tourists.
This is Penny, my sister's rescue dog. She is really smart and very, very obedient. She let me take her on a walk in the (fake) woods (and by that, I mean it's really just a path through a suburban neighborhood).
We saw this the other night out walking as a family. I call it Flat Rat with Organic Bean Soup. The rat was almost perfectly preserved, quite the sight.
The rabies sign was on the cemetery gate. I suspect rabid zombies because the cemetery was mysteriously closed to visitors, which I've never before experienced. I love how in French rabies seems to be "la rage."
It snowed twice here in one week. More snow than we've had here in 2 years but still a piddly amount and it's almost gone now. I saw a boy of about 12 who had rolled this ball of snow a long distance from the top of a hill. He was having trouble continuing.
