Calling all photogs! Since I've been playing with my new camera I thought it would be cool to have a photo thread! I'm really a newbie at this whole photography thing. My dad was an amazing photographer. He had his own wedding business. Sadly he died young or I probably would have taken it over. I was young and stupid and more interested in going to concerts and partying!!
Anywho, I thought we could post pics of our cool photos here. Non-Cure photos please. (The Cure photos go in other threads)
And you MUST host them on another site and only LINK them here!! Or they will be removed. PLEASE .....I use Photobucket but any photo hosting site will work. Just use the little Photo icon ------> This little guy And paste the link to your photos in there.
Also any tips, tricks, fun subjects you have (subject matter is tough ) are appreciated.
Here are some photos I took so far.
We have a Monastery near my home that has a lovely duck pond. So I took some shots the other day.
This is a close up of one of the figurines on my ice skating set. It's VERY old. It was my great grandmother's. I'm surprised how good it came out considering how small he is.
Oo - I am going to enjoy this thread - love looking at other people's photos - I am not very skilled in this area (understatement), but as I have lost my camera I am looking to get a DSLR next - just need to rob a bank...
The best photo I have ever taken was by accident - my little girl once found a tiny man whilst she was 'Standing on a Beach' - see what I did there?
The only decent photos I have ever taken are of my pet fish, and would bore the behinds off people, so will just be an observer from now on!
Oooh Nice one wren. That's beautiful. I got what they call a bridge camera. Bf got it for me for Christmas. It's all I wanted. I got a Nikon cool pix p610 .Not a dslr but had dslr features.
I will have a look at that camera, it sounds great. I just want one I can fit a proper macro lens to, and that can take good shots of fast-moving things like birds and fish. I bet if I take the plunge and buy a new camera my old one will suddenly show up - can't find it anywhere!

The end is all that's ever true
Oh dear, I haven't found the patience to get a new camera since my old one died in about 2009. Sad, I know...I'm the laziest person on this planet. And I really enjoyed taking pictures! Buying a new camera will definitely be one of my new year's resolutions!
I've just bought a Nikon P610!! I am so easily led
Omg awesome wren! You will like it a lot. I love it.. Start snapping and posting. I'm really pleased with the photos. Congratulations! Try the zoom. It's amazing.

Thank you, Pip! The zoom was what sold it! Look forward to yawn-inducing fishpics!!

That pic I took of the moon really thrilled me. Not only because I'm fascinated with the moon hee hee but also the moon wasn't really clear. It had clouds around it and the zoom went right through.
Your moon photo has inspired me to take 'proper' photos - I want to take photos of birds (the feathered variety), but I have had to give all my feeders away as they attracted rats

Yeh! Good pictures! Mine are a tad amateurish but I hope you enjoy my squirrels, now I've got a proper camera I can take quite decent close-ups of my favourite subject matter...
