Wistful.

Our kid is going to sleep away camp for the first time tomorrow and will be gone a couple of weeks. While I am looking forward to sitting on my ass and not worrying about the care and feeding of anyone but myself, I will miss them. But I know it will be a great growth experience for all of us, and they will have no technology (phone, etc.) the whole time!!!!

I think it may be time I stopped letting someone that I care too much for treat me like their lackey. I am especially saddened that I'm going to have to give up a whole community of folks because of this change.

Nobody should be made to feel like that, it doesn't matter how much you care for them, cut this person out and maybe this whole community you "have to give up" will support you.

Nobody should be treated like that. I think you’re doing the right thing and as @mort said, maybe you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Hope you feel better soon.

Worn out.
Dog sitting again this week as the neighbours are in Transylvania for the week.
For such a small creature he is jam packed with energy and wants to run around and be chased.
Then, when I have to come back home he cries.

Sometimes he won't let me out of the gate. 😳

Hopefully they will be back soon! Sounds like they need another pet to keep it company.

Sometimes I think I want a dog (safety companion for solo hikes/camping) but then I realize how high maintenance they can be and I go back to adoring my indifferent-whether-I-live-or-die kitteh.

Kind of sad after my trip to Bristol and London has ended. Went to see Massive Attack at the Clfton Downs in Bristol and they were great. Loved Bristol so much, I’ve never been there before. Sadly I missed Idles gig who played the night before MA.
