I just cannot wake up today. Despite drinking a whole lot of coffee I’m still half asleep. I’m wrapping up a large-scale audit right now and I need to be focused on the task at hand, but all I want to do is crash on a nice, firm mattress, with soft-feathery pillows on freshly-washed sheets - MmMmmmm

Why don't you try sitting on some nails? That should wake you up long enough to quickly finish your audit.

wore out. last chemo has worn off, next batch tomorrow. luckily i went out to check the mail. noticed i had a flat tire. was able to call roadside assistance to change it & make it to the tire store at the last possible minute. they fixed it & put it back on for free! would've been ugly tomorrow as my appointment for poisoning & x-rays is early & far away.
Going back to work tomorrow after 4 months minus one day of sucking up unemployment. A big thanks to steve for extremely helpful practical feedback to help take the "Oh, fuuuuuudgness" out of navigating reopening. It was the practical bitchsl@p I needed.
Had a second COVID test today as required and it now says a minimum of 7 days for results due to inability of labs to process results. Also very, very close to putting our house on the market but I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off doing stuff like painting bookshelves, sealing tiles, hauling broken planters off the roof, etc.
Maybe I shouldn't be listening to speed metal, ATM?

Really happy for you & glad it helped. Wishing you all the very best of luck on your new first day.

Happy and exhausted! Since there obviously are no festivals this summer, we had a 'festival' in a friend's garden (small private gatherings are allowed here). So I spent yesterday drinking, eating, chatting and listening to music - including some live music from some talented friends. It was wonderful!
