I remember my much cooler big sister telling me The Stranglers lyrics to Golden Brown was 'lays me down, with my mancherons'. It was her (the cat's mother) record player, so I never thought to question her.

Fast forward thirty years, I find out the lyrics are "Lays me down, with my mind she runs"
