Slowly, but surely dipping my toes back into other areas than the live reports and just had a skim through this thread and looking good so far steve ! Looking forwards to following the progress
Had to chuckle today. Looking at wall mounted toilets & saw one I liked but it had some critical dimensions missing off the drawing. I need to know if they're going to be too low from the finished floor. A couple of emails with the store trying to explain what I needed and I get an email today with a bunch of photos on. They actually measured one & took photos of the toilet in their warehouse with someone holding a tape measure to show where the fixing points were in relation to the top & the bottom.
I'm measuring gravel for putting the heat pump on. Needs to be washed gravel between 20 & 40mm in size so as to let rain drain off. Just drawn the plan for the builder to make the gravel bed. With any luck, should have the box for the electrickery meters tomorrow. The one we're after is very in demand but hopefully I've found a whole-saler through a friend who can let me have one "under the table" so to speak.

I have some time later today. I could individually measure and wash the gravel if that would save you some time.

Been to the house to apply the primer to the cement surface on the ground floor today. Basically it binds any residual fine dust to the surface so that the floor heating panels can stick properly.

Oh my gosh, I am so jealous that you’re getting heated tiles! Do you plan on lying down on them on cold days? I know if you don’t, someone else will!
To say I'm happy would be an understatement. After all the work to dig up the floors, insulate it, & prep it for new cement, I can see something other than a smooth grey floor finally.
