Yeah, I just read that yesterday and I’ve always gotten the blues/roots vibe from him. For me, part of it is that each of his performances of a song varies a little. Otherwise, it’s hard for me to iterate why I feel that way.

Hahahahha remember hearing him on From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea the first time? His way of playing the Thompson part was SOOOOOO different to any previous versions!
