I can't believe it... It's Tuesday, a quarter after midnight and I managed to schedule my vaccination. It will be on... Wednesday... yes, in two days, in one and a half really, and I will get Moderna! I didn't expect that...
My (smarter than me) friends who used some glitch in the system and registered a month ago have their vaccinations at the end of May! And they managed to grab only Astra Zeneca. Wow... I guess many people cancel their appointments and the midnight time helped as well
@notkristie , you asked if I was feeling relieved and excited? Oh yes, at the time being I'm feeling very relieved and very excited. Quite happy to be honest. Yay!
I received my first jab a week ago, the Pfizer one and share your excitement and relief. Like Moderna it should give the slight flu-like side effects only after the second dose, at least I didn't get any apart from a slightly sore arm.
One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain So hit me with music, hit me with music
Didn't sleep too great last night. When it comes to needles I am completely terrified. Too late to back out now
Good man! It's not bad for that sort of thing & some people don't get after effects. I hate needles too but have to put up with a lot. I had both arms today, 1 for IV & 1 for the vampire treatment. Just remember what Mort has been through the past few months, plenty of reason to get a few jabs. Take care.

Steve, you know there is no need to be afraid, don't you? Just think about what you know and not about how you feel. Everything will be all right. In several weeks you should be able to feel at least moderately safe from that terrible virus. It changes something, don't you think?
Play Freakshow in your headphones and go! Remember you're not alone. At 18:45 I've got my shot.
Many hugs X
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.
My mom just had her first shot of Pfizer. She mentioned that the setup reminded her of going through airport security. Good to know that the actual administration of the vaccines is so organized, and hopefully safe.

I think where I went was being managed by the military. It was very well run. Lady soldier at the door to take temperatures & ask a few health questions. Straight in to show my health insurance card & get a number. In for the shot (there were a dozen rooms with cubicles with army field medics doing the jabs), & then into a waiting room. That was the quietest waiting room I've ever sat in & every now & then a volunteer popped in to make sure everyone was okay (you have to wait 20-30 minutes before they give you the card & let you leave). From door to jab took about 3 minutes. It was amazing. I booked the time slot on the website last night & got a 15:22 appointment. I was 15 minutes early but it didn't matter. Straight in & through. Funny thing though. When you book the appointment the website directs to you a questionnaire to download, print & fill in. It asks basic health questions (chronic illnesses, allergies, pregnancy etc.). I went to the local print shop this morning with it on a pen drive as I don't have a printer. They already had a load printed .
