Had a tickle in my throat last Tuesday afternoon. Negative COVID test Tuesday evening. Had a sore throat and cough developing Wednesday. Woke up Thursday with a sore throat, slight cough, and minor congestion and tested positive that morning. Headaches and some achiness here and there and some fatigue in the first couple of days. Otherwise, good. Plenty of rest and fluids and it thankfully never was more than a mild cold type of expereince in the way it made me feel.
My wife started feeling crappy a day after me, and ended up testing positive the day after me as well. She’s had a lot of congestion, headaches, and brain fog. Definitely worse off than me.
Our son home from college has tested negative every d@mn day! 😂
Crazy how it has affected the three of us completely differently… my wife the hardest, me pretty mild, and the kid never got it.
This is the first time my wife and I have had it. This new variant is no joke. I was reading that this variant that we have offers basically no immunity… you can catch it again just weeks after having it! And that they are saying even being outdoors isn’t really as reliable as it was for the original and Delta variants. Hope this doesn’t mean it’s going to be a sucky summer/fall.
Be safe out there, peeps. The vaccines are doing their job! 💉🦠😷

my gf finally tested negative today. very grateful for the vaccines and boosters that taught our bodies how to fight it off. I got it about 6 weeks ago coincidentally playing bass in a Cure tribute band at a gig and because of the meds and vaccines it was a very mild illness.

So the Cure was the cause & the cure were the vaccines
Last weekend, a friend of mine held a baby shower for her daughter. I just found out that several of the people who attended the event, including the mother-to-be, have tested positive for Covid. To boot, my friend’s mother and a few other ‘older’ attendees are apparently VERY ill. I don’t have any specific details about the severity though. I had plans the day of the shower, so I didn’t go (I just sent a gift) and I’m so glad I didn’t. All this to say that this thing is far from over. Sigh.

We're all fully recovered here in the Weedy household. Thankfully, I never had anything worse than mild cold-like symptoms. My wife had it slightly worse off with some congestion, headaches, fatigue, and brain fog... but all of that has cleared up. Neither of us lost any sense of taste or smell, or seem to have any long COVID issues. Those vaccines are miracles. 💉
Also, the youngest, who is home from college, never had symptoms and never tested positive. 🤷🏻♂️😂
