I don't know why but somehow I'd never managed to watch this film before. And it's a good thriller really. Easy to watch, kind of smooth, with beautiful shots of Italian towns, little and big ones. Especially Venice, just breathtaking. I like that sincere and very natural respect for the culture showed not in the postcard like mode at all.
The story is great, the parts are really good but the point is that the film is only a remake of Plein Soleil, I have no idea why released in US as Purple Noon back then. It's a French movie from 1960 with Alain Delon who knocks spots off Matt Damon. Without peer, really. A truly top-notch film, unforgettable and highly recommended to watch to everyone who loves a little older cinema.
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.
Once a week we have a family movie night and the three of us rotate picking the movie. This was my choice. Our son liked it because of all of the farting.
