Not going to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it, but HOLY MOLY!
Absolutely astonishing film of the highest order. FACT! I think this is the only film I've been to where the whole audience applauded at the end. Spent the past few days avoiding all reviews & spoilers on the web & damn glad I did. Outrageously good. Funny, happy, sad & hopeful. & Abrams didn't massacre it with lens flare all over the shop. See it. You won't regret it. Oh & be sure to take a pack of these
The interwebs have been surprisingly void of spoilers, I've managed to avoid any as well. Which was just brilliant as I enjoyed the movie on Friday all the more. It was utterly brilliant.

The people in our theater applauded as well. I have many questions. But I shall wait. Maybe save those questions for the meet up! haha oh so many questions...
Oh there are thousands of questions & the theory mongers have been going bonkers with it. I think that's part of the experience though. But the key here was the re-emergence of the force with two of the main characters who have yet to complete their training. Although Kylo stopping that laser bolt was pretty impressive for a "learner".
Still haven't seen The Force Awakens, as for some reason going to the cinema on my own is an even scarier prospect than going to gigs alone - my local one has IMAX though so I really need to grow a pair...
Anyway - just found this 'modern trailer' for my favourite instalment - love it!
Don't talk of worlds that never were
The end is all that's ever true

I am sure they can even make far better trailer of my-favourite-instalment-as-well. This is just superb movie in the franchise. And for me - this new one is not capable by far to change that hierarchy. Honestly, I was positively surprised by Han Solo-part - the best one!
An impression of sound Then everything is gone Forever
I've seen The Force Awakens two times in a row this Xmas. And... am I the only one who didn't like the movie at all?
I'm sure you're not. I've read a lot of people ranting about how awful it was. But a lot of them were just trolling to get a bite. Most of their arguments seem to be based on it being "Star Wars karaoke", which, to an extent it was a bit. What just about all of them missed was that the level of acting (& presumably directing) was light years ahead of what we got fobbed off with in episodes i, II & II. Those films even made Ewan McGregor come across as dreadful. This film actually feels & looks like a classic Star Wars film & not the CGI muppet shows that Lucas inflicted on us in those prequels. There will be haters & hey, that's cool. Not everyone can like the same thing & we're all 30 years older than when the first one happened. We're naturally going to be a bit pickier than an 8 year old kid, but I think Abrams did a fine job & delivered what many of us grown up kids wanted The story is set pretty well, with both light & dark sides awaking with their respective padawan/ apprentice ready to develop their powers. The only thing that bothered me was the First Order making a star killer base, as that worked so well the first two times for them didn't it?
