Well I've watched the blu ray a few times now, each time I expected a "eureka moment" to hit and I'd suddenly think this film had the impact of the first, well, Part IV! Sadly it doesn't happen, it' won't happen. Very disappointed with this, it's more of a remux of Part IV than a new film, there was nothing new - even the technology seemingly stood still. I don't care how successful this may be at the Box Office, it's not likely to see the light of day in our household again.
if you can be bottomed going into detail: what specifically did you not like about the movie? Also, rate your level of fandom? do you read the books and comics? have you watched the OT scores of times? What did you think of the PT? Do you know the story behind say how a lightsaber is constructed and why the sith have red blades etc? The reason I ask this extra info is that I'm curious as to where your opinions come from etc.. if you get my meaning.. Do you come from "a certain point of view"..... heheheheh
Do we need to watch and read every single SW product made to have an opinion about the movie? i've just watched the six previous films, so, I guess my opinion is not validated. Rate the level of fandom? Are you serious? Sorry, I don't get it.

jesus christ.... Did I say that your or his opinion's weren't valid? no... I was just asking to get a better understanding of his perspective... FFS...
If you have a lead on Brisbane 21 August 1992 - CT version, for the love of Bob, let me know. Please!
What I get from your words it's that people who haven't read comics and books etc, can't have fully understanding of the movie. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I know why the Dark Side's glow sticks are red ....... that's the colour pen the Special Effects dude had!! I wanted to like this film, but it seemed predictable - Han and Leia's kid was more expected than a Ronaldo tantrum when his hair's out of place.
