We drank a lot of sake last night at dinner, which resulting in me taking some pictures as we stumbled around Manhattan before going home.

And here is the Broadway Lafayette subway station at the early hour of just before 11:00 pm on a Saturday night. This is how bad it's gotten, which the MTA and mayor don't want all the tourists this time of year to see. By far the worst I've ever seen it in terms of encampments directly inside the station.

I passed this banner on a storefront restaurant that is, oh joy, "coming soon."
That is somewhat reminiscent of the Spanish lady's repair of Jesus that ended up looking like a monkey. It is the most frightening "chicken" I have ever seen. It also reminds me of this or this:
We had to go to Times Square (notice I didn't say "got to go") last night to meet some relatives who were in town for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised not to see any drunken St. Patrick's Day tomfoolery.
