I have drawn a blank here in Hungary & have ordered one on ebay, but delivery is tight if I want to record the Bokka gig. I am looking for a LIP-12(H) rechargable battery for my MZ-R30 minidisc recorder. If anyone has one to spare, please drop me a line, as I really would like to get the recorder back into commission (& perhaps get a The Cure show).

Thanks Lis. Should be here this week (fingers crossed). I need it before next Thursday for Bokka
Did it come in?
Yeppers. Battery is here. Charged up okay & I have borrowed some nice mics from pillowman Bokka won't need any more than an 80 minute disc, so I'm ready for Thursday Already set preliminary recording level & the results are superb. Fingers crossed.

If it's successful with Bokka, then for sure The Cure will be next Have plenty of discs & have to plan changes to not miss anything.
Hm. I think if you will go mono with the MZ-R30 you will have double recording time ... probably this more relaxing and i remember the MD recorder need around 1 or 2 minutes for the disc change PM
When I use to do minidisc recordings, I started with one and I was very unhappy with the way I had to "switch out" the disc and insert another one when it came to long concerts. When the Minidisc PCM models became available around 2004, I actually bought two to circumvent this problem to simply keep one on pause/standby while the other recorded. It was necessary at the time, but since then, I've opt to use the smaller recorders that record to micro SD cards or the Sony PCM-M10. Hopefully you will have a nice recording - but otherwise, I would seriously consider upgrading the gear out of the minidisc world. It's simply not the future of recording anymore. :-(
