i think Robert fired Perry back in 2005 and maybe, maybe he just felt it was time to put the record straight just a little before the end. No, Roger doesn't need help on stage for an additional keyboard player that is for sure.Neither Reeves needs someone to fil any gap,so is it our Bob a little tired and old who might need help on stage? Me sayin'. Or might someone will step out for a while during the Tour and they just brought him earlier to be on the right mood.Don't forget they will announce a US dates shortly after the EU ones. And Perry can play some keyboard notes, guitar and...bass as well or be a roadie as once he was (joking with this one). The perfect replacement if you ask me,a true CURE member through the years. Still believe he was the one who looked like Edward Scissorhands back in the day.
Especially 1992
Love you Teddy, happy you are back even if it will be just for a while.

Ha! What are the chances of Homesick making coming back...
Roger was actually asked about it and shut it down. a shame...
I doubt Reeves leaves the Cure, he really loves the gig a lot and I think he's injected a lot of creativity into RS. I really think Perry is there to add more to the sound - but admittedly I am surprised RS hasn't introduced or acknowledged that he's up there at all. they have to have some sort of gameplan there, no? or will he really just go the whole tour acting like he was there the entire time?
I do hope we see Treasure or Bare show up, let alone the Bloodflowers songs. Perry was such a key part of all of those..
It could be, but then why would he be on stage? For example, Eden Gallup is there as back-up for his dad, but it's not like he's on stage with his bass and all... I'm quite confused by all this.
I'm really glad if Perry is back; but from the few clips and photos I've seen, he seems to barely play and was looking kind of out of it.
So the whole thing is kind of strage...
Yeah, but Eden is his dads guitar tech, and yes provides bass cover. Hence my point about Perry providing cover for reeves and rog. You have 3 areas covered off then. Also would explain somewhat is rather small contribution. However, he could play a massive one if a man down.

At least there's one certainty: Robert is irreplacable. Can't imagine that The Cure would ever switch their singer, like other bands did (won't give names here ;-)) The insurance cost for his voice must be tremendous, no?

Well, it is no secret that Robert struggles with his sight, he said once he barely sees the audience... so maybe... just thinking out loud... he didn't notice that Perry is back!

No one is irreplaceable. I prefer the original vocalist Peter O'Toole, would be cool if he rejoined and replaced Bob, could take The Cure to new heights.

But Robert is! :-))
Robert is good too but he'll always be my 2nd favourite Cure singer after Peter. Maybe Robert could stay on as a guitarist cos he knows some of the tracks.
