Modulars are amazing. I’ve been collecting them since 2012, only Cafe Corner is missing from my collection, as it is insanely expensive. Best models that Lego has ever produced, IMHO.
I've got a backlog of about twenty or thirty sets to build, including 75192 the UCS Millennium Falcon, and of course about 20 on my buy list. Sigh.
What?! Where on earth do you store all those?!
ha! there's half a wardrobe full of boxes of yet-to-be-built in my study, and three IKEA Billy bookcases full of built sets in there too. I have actually been pulling some sets apart and putting them into storage. I mean, do I really need four different X-Wings on display? Yes, they're all different, but really, I only need the OG Red Five on display.
The UCS Falcon and incoming UCS AT-AT will take up a LOT of room on the shelves so I'll need to make more room. #TheStruggleIsReal

I feel you
I guess I could just buy more Billy bookcases but I’m going for “quality offer quantity” nowadays….

The story goes like this: in 2017 my wife and I visited the localish LEGO store where I was buying a two or three of the current UCS and other sets. I ended up spending a considerable amount of money and this set was displayed in an orange-backed cube, all wings down and flying looking amazing. She said to me "That's cool, don't you wan that?" which is odd because she thinks LEGO is not cool and doesn't have any interest in what I buy and build - generally. I said to her "Nah, I'll get it later." and off I went buying the other sets.
As with all sets it went off-market and instantly started going up in price. From memory it was $120AU RRP then went up to $165 once deleted and after watching it go up and up, and umm-ing and ahh-ing on second-hand sets I finally bit the bullet and paid way too much for a BNIB set recently. It's sat there in the cupboard for a few months, mocking me so I pulled it out a month ago and put it up on top of my shelves so it could silently watch me stew. Yesterday I teed up a concert, some coffee and built it. Man.. it's so awesome, that K2-SO figure alone is worth the price of admission. It looks so good with the wings down in flight mode so I'll need to tee up a stand sometime soon.
Now, of course, I need to find that one last Rogue One set that I don't have, and I watched a cheap version slip by on eBay recently. Sigh...

This little guy arrived today
He will look nice next to this feller!
LEGO should make all of the Batmobiles in this scale. Or the scale of the 66 TV show kit they released... OR make one of the 66 version in the scale of the large "UCS style" 1989 movie one they released! Oh mama!

I'm gutted. I've been on the hunt to re-acquire a set from my youth - 8860 Car Chassis brickset.com/sets/8860-1/Car-Chassis and last night I saw one 98% complete on eBay for $80 and being a bit tired and stressed due to unrelated matters, I didn't really think too much about the "Or Best Offer" and what that meant. I thought I'd make an offer closer to the end time, this Sunday, but when I went back to check to see if it had gone up a crazy amount this morning, I saw the seller accepted an offer of $80. FAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
