Awesome stuff. Didn't knew we had lego fans here. I'm a big fan. Have all the modulares except for Cafe Corner and Green Grocer
Wow, at last, somebody that will understand me figie is also a Lego lover.
Yep, I'm a huge fan since my childhood. I've also have all the modulars except CC. I bricklinked GG last year swaping the crazy expensive 1x2 groove sand green bricks for masonry 1x2 ones. I'm quite happy with the change, it looks great. Do you have a city with road plates or your modulars are in shelves?
Great. i already thought of doing it through bricklink.. but it's expensive! They are not in shelves.Me and my sister are building them again now and they are in a table. I have some road plates from the late 80's early 90's. I'm thinking about doing a city layout. I have a bunch of sets from the 80's, the collectible mini figures, the Christmas ones and modulars. you can check my collection here
That's an impressive collection, pteraser, you own the monorail!!! Lucky you!
I've also have the whole Winter Village, they're amazing sets. I used to have a city layout when I was about twelve, in the middle eighties. It was quite impressive for a child, I owned almost every city set from that period, I was obsessed. Sadly, my mother gave away all my Lego when I was in my teens (I was heavily into The Cure) so I don't have any of that anymore, such a shame. Then I spent a lot of years into the Dark Ages until I spotted by chance the Cinema Modular in a Toy Shop. The rest is history...
Can't wait for the next modular. Rumors says it could be a Hospital. Are you in Eurobricks?
Thanks. I got lucky . I was born in the middle eighties and my parents bought me a lot of lego, including the monorail Still have all the pieces and the motor works just fine. It sure is awesome Yeah. winter village is great. next one will be a train it seems. We all had Dark ages. Mine lasted until 4 years ago when i started to clean my old collection, using bricklink to order lost pieces and buying the collectible minifigures. I use eurobricks but just for checking some news and other stuff. I mainly use brickset and bricklink. I would love the see a hospital in modular style. Still have to order the Brick Bank this winter

Yep, it will be a Xmas train, there is a picture of the box already circulating on the net.
We use the same three sites. Eurobricks is very good for inspiration, there are the best MOCers you can find. People really build amazing stuff. There's a guy called snaillad (among others) who MOC art deco buildings that are truly works of art.
I've got the Brick Bank, but, although I like it (Jamie is a genius) is not amongst my favs. You should get the Ferris Wheel and the Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart. They're both amazing. I want the Ghostbusters headquarters so badly, but is soo expensive...
steve, as this conversation with pteraser is becoming a separate thread, I've just created a Lego thread. Could you please move these posts there? Thanks:)

Not a problem. Good idea actually. I think there are a few lego fans around here, so here we go....

I'm not into moc. But i appreciate them for sure. There's this portuguese guy from Porto, Cesbrick that made these. www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=110546 You probably remember those. He is now working at lego! In order to keep the costs contained I only buy, old 80's 90's vintage town/pirate sets, collectible minifigures, modulars, and winter village. Occasionally other small sets. I would love to have a bunch of them, but financially is not possible

Impressive. There's another Porto guy working for Lego, Marcos Bessa. He's responsible for the Simpsons sets, Ghostbusters HQ and some Winter Village ones, among others.
I'm not into MOCing yet, I'm still not ready, there are a lot of new pieces and building techniques I have to learn but I'm slowly gathering bricks (I was in Brighton some months ago and bought a lot of stuff from the PAB wall at Lego Store, really addictive). I want to build my own buildings in the future.
