That my washing machine on a spin cycle at 10pm when everything for miles around is quiet sounds like I'm operating a pneumatic drill in my kitchen. My headphones are drowning it out but feeling really bad for the neighbours right now...
Don't talk of worlds that never were
The end is all that's ever true
If a field looks like it's too boggy to park on - DON'T PARK ON IT!! Had to have 'assistance' to get my car out of a quagmire at work today, much to the amusement of the assembled crowd of onlookers...beam me up...

Haven't been able to listen to music since my dad died last week, but decided to turn my radio on this morning to see if I would be ok...guess what song was playing?
'Alive and Kicking' by Simple Minds
The worst thing is I had listened to it and sung along for a while before I realised what it was...
Must be feeling better as I can laugh about it.
Also the fact my mum took in chocolates for the nurses and realised too late she'd bought a tub of 'Celebrations'!
Ha ha - facepalm runs in the family!

Woke up this morning unable to move after yesterday's flat-pack furniture-building frenzy - built another bookcase this afternoon, and now I can't feel my right arm, or stand up. Seriously feels like I've been kicked in the stomach by a horse.
The packaging said it was a two-man build; the clue should've been when it took me 20 minutes, sumo-style, to get all the boxes from the car to my house (I parked 3 feet away).
OW, OW, OW...
Oh, also I learned that using a cushion as a silencer when hammering dowels into wood doesn't work - and makes it A LOT easier to hammer the sh1t out of your thumb. Who knew?!
