Just sitting here eating lunch and realized I need to stop putting people on pedestals because they only disappoint me in the end. I throw my whole heart into people then they crush it to pieces. Gotta stop doing that. Yup. But I was always taught people should get the benefit of the doubt. Clearly, I was taught wrong.

I know exactly what you mean. My psychologist said that if I trust people 100% (which I did earlier) I would always get disappointed. it is just so strange to have the reversed issues than you normally hear about.
