Well, they appear to have an unlimited supply of ammunition for shooting cars but not for shooting Negan.

Seems to be a speech, some roads and then a fight without any decisive victories over and over again and thats the formula. Did they change writers/show runners or something?

Mid-season 8 and am really struggling - the geography, motivation and timeline is an absolute mess. I'm guessing Carl is going to take a while to turn.. Feels like 4-5 episodes of plot dragged out to a whole season.

OK, near the end of 9 now and everything seems to be back on track. Stories moving forward and everything makes sense. The Rick episode was OK but they shouldn't have bothered with that helicopter stuff, was a bit of a cop out.
Alpha is the right amount of loopy and Negan is a lot closer to how he was written again. Took me ages work out who Luke is.

He’s my favourite character (jokes, he’s not, but he’s certainly the cutest!) I’ll be devastated if they kill him off! Do not want him to be eaten by the dead.

IMO- this storyline was easily one of the more interesting ones featured in recent years.

Dont know exactly where you are now, there's only more major arc in the book and the endgame is very sudden (no spoilers!) - they even had a fake release schedule with episodes which went beyond their secret ending

I bet the end of the Whisperers gets changed, would make more sense for tv.

It's bound to be different, anyway. If you're at the Commonwealth then you're near the end. The book jumps forwards in time a lot - they've shown us flashforwards on tv, mainly before Rick left - I guess these were meant to be the Commonwealth in the future.

Yep, they can do things on paper you can't do on tv. Every thing is forked up x2

Sophia in Herschell's barn was something tv did really well tho.
