The scene with a piece of human scalp hanging off the bat was a bit "bleurgh" .... had me mixing up coffee and gravy granules, which led to a very confusing veggie pie!!
I don't know if I can continue watching...I was scarred by that bat Gonna have to see if it lets up. steve is right, the human violence is what makes it traumatic.

How did the pie taste?
Luckily I found frozen quorn pies to replace mine with, shame as the pastry was perfect!

I think we became very desensitised to the violence primarily as most of the killing was of "undead people". Once it spills into the realm of "living people" it feels more gruesome even if it's just as graphic. Spoilers or not, I am deffo looking forward to seeing it tonight
edit: Just checked the DVR & it was on a 3.30am here. Just watched it in stunned silence.
that's about the time i watched it on my dvr. i had pretty much the same reaction.
Thought about it a bit more, and realized what was making me unsure about continuing watching the show. It is that Negan is a sadist, not just a savage/cut-throat survivalist. The Governor was also a sadist, but much more hidden so it was bearable. There have been others who are clearly depraved, but I am not sure if I want to watch a whole season worth of an out and out sadist.
Maybe that tiger they keep showing on the adverts will use Negan as cat food, with "Luka" playing in the background to keep sang happy.
No way would a cat eat Negan, their palates are far too discerning I'll still watch the show for now....I will also say this about the new villain, I think he is positioned to be very clever.
