Good morning all, Just finish reading everyone's comments on this tread. Amazing set list!! Freakshow oh my, and I didn't get a chance to hear it.. Periscope offered a small sample of the entire list which by the way I can't complain but come on!! Hopefully someone has either taped it or will upload it somewhere online. During my studies I will look for one.

Amazing setlist, but... Freakshow? seriously ? What is the reason why they play that song? If they have hundreds of better songs. Sometimes I think that Robert enjoys annoy his fans, so he does.
Didn't it top the American Billboard Charts?! All four 4.13 singles did, all four were in the top twenty at the same time.
That sounds logical and convincing. And it made me realize that Robert, on this tour, prefers to please new fans (4:13 Dream) than oldies (Faith / Pornography) According to stats: thecurecommunity.freeforums.net/post/128908/thread

I'd hardly call The Head On The Door & Disintegration & Wish "new" (4:13 is 8 years old) & as far as I know, there have been 3 songs played from 4:13 & 3 from Faith, while there have been 4 from Pronography. I said it before. The Cure only really exploded in the USA in 87 with Just Like Heaven, so to not draw on that era onward would be a bit short sighted. If they fill an 18000 capacity arena in the states, you can be fairly certain over 70% of that audience will be expecting that material. & what makes you think that those who like 4:13 are just "new fans"? Moreover, so what if they are? That's a good thing right?
was at this show- I noticed the people back in the lawn were considerably louder then the front sections where I was. Def came away with that "I wished they played more non singles mindset" but thats on me for having seen them several times before and completely unrealistic.
I will say I was expecting The Top to close the set when they opened with SDS which would've sent me to the mooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOON
I'm in the middle. 'Freakshow' is not a bad song (at least, not the worst from 4:13) but agree with culthero that they have thousand of better songs. I guess that Robert have to justify their latest albums. Not playing any song from them will be like admit that they are bad records.
Very true, but in a pop encore scenario, given the choice between The Lovecats or Freakshow, I think I know which I would go for. (just my opinion) It's an odd song really. When it first appeared on the 4Tour it was awful. It was flat, lifeless & sounded almost as if it wasn't quite finished. Not sure what happened, but once it got to the States, it had transformed into this wonderfully whacky tune with a real groove to it.
A interesting review, I think it is quite objective and is matching with what the most fans think. Special mention to "Wrong Number" and "Freakshow".
