Going into GW 3 & the league still looking a tad topsy turvey.
Controversy & shocks abound last GW with the Spacial One subbing John Terry for the first time in….ever as they were taken to task by Manc City.
The new offside rule wording was called into question after Coutinho appeared to try to reach a cross, only to miss & allow Benteke to stab it in. While the Cherries only goal was disallowed for a foul that only one person saw.
A smattering of European games followed & Manc Untidy could yet show the league that their number 7 shirt my clothe a new legend….Oh & van Gaal has threatened to kiss said player.
But back to the present & managers’ press conferences are in full flow. Will Jose play his new toy this week? Will he let Eva off the naughty step? Will he explain how Costa’s massive head wound managed to heal completely over the 15 minute break?
Are Spurs regretting that seatbelt design yet?
Will any home fans turn up for Sunderland’s game & is that a wasp or a hornet buzzing around the shed?
Before we recap on last week’s scoreline, I would like to take a moment to let everyone know that my pen wielding counterpart, Johnny Rev 7.0 has stepped down as the manager of IGM & has shoes have been stepped into by Mav787 who will be operating the latest state-of-the art quill.
So let me take this chance on behalf of EIB to say a huge thanks to Johnny for agreeing to take up this mad challenge & arranging the leagues etc.
& welcome aboard Mav787. My pencil’s looking forward to doing battle with your feather
And now the results, for those of you who missed them, were as follows.
IGM 512 - 462 EIB
GW2 diff: +50
OR diff: +99 IGM
The Yellow Jersey is retained by The Clash Athletic (schmed) while the Big Shout Out went to goes to Darkness AFC (emilystrange) with a rather splendid 73pts.
The H2H league features somewhat smaller numbers, but as it currently stands after two games
IGM 36 - 30 EIB.
So now I need to tend to the turf here at the Stadium of Faith. Basil has chewed some of it, so will look a bit weird on TV. Have sharpened up the scissors, so I’d better get snipping.
Welcome all the your FPL GW3 thread. Good luck all
