I'm actually surprised to hear Doctor Who is still going. Guess I never noticed if it had been picked up by any US stations. I last saw the show when the good Doctor had blondish curly hair with that scarf that went to the floor.

There was much anticipation in our house, given my son is utterly obsessed with the show.
They both wore Dr Who t shirts all day and watched Dr Who DVD's all day. My son nearly drove me up the wall with his countdown.
Well....when they announced it, he was gutted. He says he's old and ugly. hahahahahaha

Honestly, I don't think he'd have been happy with whoever it was!

I like Matt Smith, although it did take me a while to warm to him, but I am struggling to see the new Doctor being as active as Smith.

i think personally they should not have told anyone that matt was leaving and then surprised everyone with the regeneration at christmas ..... maximum impact . good choice for the new dr though , an older actor might just stay around a bit longer than the last three doctors . these young uns have no staying power .
