I feel relieved that I *think* the allergic reaction I've been having since I painted our bedroom waaaay back on October 8th is over, knock on wood.
I was recently told by a dr. I have hypermobility. I always knew I was flexible but nobody ever said, "This is a health condition you need to manage." When I was younger and could do the splits against the wall it was only ever, "That's great, you're flexible! Can you do more?" Turns out there's lots that can go along with hypermobility and now that I'm older, things are progressing. I seem to have features of things called EDS, POTS and MCAS, and the truth is diagnosis is hard and a long process and answers may never come.

I just want my energy back...
Hope you find a solution & are feeling better soon.

Good news on the allergy front. Not so good on the hypermobility one though. Although it does kinda sound like a superpower. You take care of yourself missus

Nervous. Doctors think my stomach is bleeding. I'm getting rushed in for an endoscopy (camera down the throat to the stomach) this afternoon. Usually it takes weeks to get in to see this doctor let alone a procedure. It's only been since Thursday that I first called. Hoping its nothing major. They're putting me under for the procedure, doing the pre op now. Sigh, getting old isn't for the meek.
Lab report back. There's a problem with my stomach but thankfully it's not cancer. Working on getting appointment with doc about fixing it, current state can't continue. I'm not as good at reading gut reports as I am spine/joint reports.

Got an email from our child's language arts teachers they had completed their first big project of the year. It's a huge positive sign they have built trust at their new school, as they felt so terrible at their old school they were producing very little work.
They chose to research the disease cutaneous leishmaniasis and the teacher sent us the resulting project. Our 10-year-old wrote this! I cried when I read it. I have to admit I was worried it might be plagiarized b/c of the writing, but it's not. Go, kid!!!!
A couple of slides from the deck...
Shoot me, mute me, I don't care. It's a great feeling.
