I’m in such a bleak, dark mood. For the most part , I’m a fairly chipper/fairly happy person, but the COVID situation has really knocked me off my feet.
Most definitely looking forward to a brighter and to a more positive tomorrow.
Relieved as I've just received a phone call from my vet about Tayga who is after the surgery, safe and sound. She will be waking up for an hour or so and then they will call me again to come and take her home.
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.

I had Polly & Iggy done at the same time & when they got home they were hilarious. They were still so drowsy, but all they wanted to do was wander about & jump on stuff. All they could actually do was stagger a few steps & fall over. It was hard not to laugh & I expect they were very confused & quite scared. But they looked really really drunk.

When Lion was after his anaesthesia for MRI he also had problems with walking but all he was interested in was an empty bowl. He couldn't wait for the food. Apart from that he was sleeping and resting in a bathroom like a newborn But when he had his neutering it was done so fast that he didn't even notice it. He had been having his bottom sprayed with something silver-green for a whole month because he even didn't feel the need to clean it
For Tayga it's the first serious thing with anaesthesia done to her. I hope it is also the last one

Drugged cats are kind of amusing. Murray's been purring so much while strung out.

Wishing Tayga a speedy recovery! I know she is in good hands.
I’m actually seething right now, and have been for a few days.
A few days ago, the brand new manager (like he’s been with us for a couple of weeks) pulled a very ballsy and unpopular move. Unfortunately for me, this change greatly impacts my role for the worse. A few years back I purposefully requested and received a demotion(I moved from one department to this one), but now it’s pretty clear that the managers expect me to take on a lot more responsibility. I’m so pissed. Guess it’s time to gear up for another exit.

Ugh, I'm so sorry. Reorg?
It was sh!tty people didn't bother to have any kind of conversation with you about this impending change to feel you out about it and /or get your input. Sounds like this new person is trying to assert himself and establish his territory.
Is it also a case of you having taken a cut in compensation with the requested demotion and now being given more responsibility without any change in compensation? In any event, sounds most unpleasant.
@notkristie - no reorganization, I think the new guy wants to make a name for himself. Good thing I’ve becoming more assertive at work, so I’ll definitely be making myself heard. I am grateful to be employed but the I definitely don’t want the additional stress. Over the past year I’ve accepted more and more responsibilities without complaining, but now the situation is so out of hand that it must be addressed.
