Spastically happy. Since we moved in November, the house two doors down from us has been on the market. It looks like a Great Dane has moved in. I cannot stop dancing around.
Pretty good. Successfully moved the kid home from college for the summer yesterday, and was able to get him in for a COVID vaccine this morning.
Cool! Amazing he can have his first vaccine!
What will he do this summer other than eat your food?
He works for my wife full-time in the summers. Although this is probably his last summer of that. He'll (hopefully) have an internship next summer between his junior and senior years.

Do you think your family may consider adopting a dog one day ?

When Mr. K and I retire that's definitely what I want. We'll have space, time, and will need one for protection if I get my wish of living in the fairly remote mountains somewhere. While I dearly love dogs, I know with our current lifestyle (apartment, being out of the home a lot, always feeling too busy and tired, traveling again soon hopefully) we cannot currently commit to owning one. Our son has been really pressuring us, though, so I let him ask people if he can pet their dogs all the time when we're out.
I am much more of a dog person than a cat person, but there you have it.
Really angry today. I bought 50 litres of soil last week as I had planned to do some gardening today at the house I look after. During the week the cleaners 'popped in' without telling me & used almost all of it on the oleanders which didn't actually need any.

I can understand why you're angry, steve. I'm really sorry that happened. Any chance you can still get more soil to get some gardening done?

The local shops close on Saturday afternoons so I'd need to drive out to Veszprem for the big DIY store to get some more. Aside from that, it's he fact they've seen a new bag of soil & not bothered to ask and just helped themselves to it. Makes me wonder what else they just help themselves to.
steve Well that’s irritating! I guess you could start stapling instructions to some of your items that state “Please do not use”... which would be a total PITA, but perhaps worth it?

I feel gutted; I was just terminated from my second employer. I was let go due to a substantial decrease in donations (they’re a non profit). And since I’m the most junior member of the team, and only work for them part time, I was the one chosen to be let go. I really loved that job too; I loved being part of an organization that did actually did something positive in a community.
Thankfully, I still have my full-time gig (the government one with the new boss) which is my money earner. But having the second job wasn’t about money, it was about being part of an organization that does so much good. I’m just so disappointed right now.
Happy Monday indeed.
A lot of charities have been hit hard during the pandemic, so please don’t forget to support your favourite charities if you’re able to do so.

That sucks. Good that you have a main "gig" but, even so, not a nice feeling.
