Happy, exhausted, and a tiny bit anxious as I just finished my last exam of the semester
While I admit that it is nice to be finished early for once (usually have my last day of exams around the 20th), by god it was awful this semester. All exams were home exams this semester of course which I usually prefer to traditional exams, but it was a bit overwhelming this time. First I had a two week home exam and a one week home exam in the same two weeks, so complete overlap. And as if that wasn't bad enough, my third course still had digital lectures and seminars in those two weeks and the course that had the two week exam had seminars in the first week Luckily I had a long weekend before my last four day exam, but that exam was clearly not made to be a home exam as it was very reminiscent of a traditional exam (broad and open tasks with no upper or lower word limit intended for you to write as much as you can in a set time and when your time is four days....) and was awful to work on.
So now I plan on doing nothing useful for at least the weekend

Congrats! Are you off until January? If you don’t mind my asking, what are you studying ?

Thank you! Yes, off until January! Don't mind at all, I'm studying to become a teacher with English as my main subject and political science as my secondary subject. Technically I'm working on my English masters at the moment, but I'm currently "procrastinating" it by doing religious studies in order to get religious studies as my third subject.

Oh that’s great! Good luck with your studies! Is it all done through remote learning right now?

Thank you, there is a relatively low number of cases in Norway so at the beginning of the semester there was a mix of in person socially distanced lectures and remote learning, but due to an increase around October the last month or so have been digital only.
Good news that you've got through the exams & really hoping your plans for doing nothing for the weekend plan out. Take a drink, have a deserved break & listen to some great music. At uncomfortable volumes

steve : Thank you! if you add watch some telly you have described my plans for the next two days perfectly
@notkristie : Thank you! Not a lot really, I applied for a couple of jobs, but since I'm close to finishing my degree (I should complete it next semester if everything goes as planned) I'm not exactly the ideal candidate. Then the part-time job market kinda tried up due to the pandemic. But my boyfriend/domestic partner finished his degree and started in a full-time job this summer, so we decided that we would be okay on his salary and my student loan (here I feel the need to point out that Norwegian student loans are quite different from American ones and that 'tuition' is like 50£/70$ per semester). So I'm currently just focusing on enjoying the last year of my studies because as you say it is great being a student (most of the time)
