Just got home to find that Yo-Yo the rabbit has died. I took her to the vets this morning, she had pain killers but we struggled to give her liquid food. She hadn't eaten for 2 days. We would have taken her to hospital tomorrow if she'd got through today.
Thanks guys. Not sure what's worse. The rabbit or the kids reaction now that they both know. This is my first pet that's died since I left home so the thought of burying her or whatever just doesn't appeal right now. See, I'm an old soppy really.
What I meant was, my last pet that died, a springer spaniel, was when I was still living at home with my parents, so they had to deal with it. This is a new experience for me. I guess I'm annoyed/sad that she was only 4 and therefore died unnaturally and we don't know why. Also, with Leyton being over 15 we were mentally preparing for him to go at some point but he keeps on going.
