I think, and this and $3.50 will buy you a DD latte, that Robert 1. Is making and album (so we REALLY believe, like 99.999999999% sure) 2. He is NOT an internet troller. 3. He needs time to process and 4. Does not normally post his every thought on the internet. BUT He DOES represent one of the bands Andy was a very important member of so I was hoping for a little something something publicly and, again, was not disappointed. It was short, heartfelt and eloquent.
catsncheese, this isn't at all a personal attack on you, so please don't read it as such. I just feel really passionately that there is real life and then there is what we distract ourselves with on the Internet, which is decidedly fantasy.
The end of someone's life is not a Twitter or Facebook post or a web site update. Our obsession with the virtual world (which is definitely not the same thing as real life) is not important in the grand scheme and distracts us from actually living life. Everything can't be reduced to a newsfeed blast and frankly, what does it matter?
Maybe people deserve some time to absorb, grieve, connect with loved ones on a personal level and live life rather than worrying about "posting?" Everybody who cares about TC likely knows he's gone, so what does it matter if the official page hasn't been updated? IMO, it's more respectful to at least take some time before jumping to update the official page, if at all...
“This isn’t a personal attack on you” but... thanks for that... Is there a facepalm emoji anywhere
Never mind. This definitely isn’t in the spirit of what this thread should be about.
I think you pick your own music! So sure, The Glove -- Iggy Pop even? Whatever you like.
(I'm not an organizer, just got an invitation and figured I'd spread the word.)
Oh I'll be whipping out my Glove Blue vinyl for sure! Yay! Can't we do a live party or something? That would be cool too this is awesome! Thanks Sally!
