When someone passes away I always imagine that if I'm really quiet, I can hear and feel their absence. I really want to heed Andy's request for people not to be sad and to celebrate his life, but I think if I saw a picture or video of him right now, those eyes of his would make me lose it.

Yep. I was friends with him too. He talked with everyone! Answered everyone! Even people who weren't so nice he talked to. He was fun. I will miss his gardening photos! He loved that garden. And his music! Even in the hospital he still had his humor! It happened so fast.

He and I were chatting on Messenger about bootlegs he was on, and I was going to give him a bunch when he was feeling up to it.
I'm going to celebrate his life and playing by shifting my "The Cure Bootleg Listening Project" to 1983 and 1984.

I think the band itself, Lol or any ex member would be the clearest word about this.
The Facebook post that was put on Andy’s is a guy who I only have Andy as a mutual friend, and he is also in Chelmsford. He seems to be an actual friend of Andy’s. Also Vive Le Rock etc have announced it. It’s not fake news

I had no idea until so recently that he was that local to me - enjoyed his childhood memories of trips to Southend beach
Does feel incredibly sudden, I'm glad it wasn't drawn out and that he had the opportunity to bow out gracefully.
