On the other hand, I'm enjoying the AIC book. Nicely written and looks like very well researched although the author never had the chance of interviewing the surviving band members or their relatives.
So…I’m not huge on self-help books, but I truly love this one because a) it’s hilarious and b) has tons of illustrations (e.g. pwetty pictures) so it doesn’t require much brain power to get through it!

Hi, weedyburton79. I'm *finally* letting you know I think this is worth a read! It got a bit confusing for me, at times, keeping track of all the individuals and and bands. That being said, it was fascinating to hear of the unlikely partnership of the Lutheran Church and the punks, as well as how integral the punk movement was to the demise of the DDR. I had no idea.
Tomine is ok, and the comic is pretty much ok, but when it comes to talk about the life and miseries of a cartoonist, Joe Matt is way more insightful, witty, scathing and funny.
I've just read 85 pages of the first volume (out of 5) and I'm completely absorbed by this.
1993. Katmandu. A guy who works as a photographer in Everest expeditions finds a very old camera in a second hand shop. We soon learn the camera was previously owned by one of the first two guys who tried to reach the top of the mountain, back in 1924. The climbers disappeared close to the top and their bodies were never found...

I finished the 5th and last book of this series last week and I can say it is an astonishing story. Highly recommended.
