I challenge that. How could a Goth King have made the Mint Car video....?
He tries to throw people off. haha
I love the Mint Car video, it looks like they are all having a bit of fun especially Robert. I really like that about The Cure they have this huge discography filled with a lot of very gloomy serious, pain ridden or angry music but they have quite a lot of *fun* or light-hearted songs as well.

To answer the question posed I'm somewhere in between.
I naturally have dark hair, pale skin and wear red lipstick, I like a lot of Goth rock, post-punk, darkwave etc, pretty much my favourite genres of music. I wear a lot of black, love velvet and sometimes dress the part but wear a bit of colour too-dresses with peter pan collars and mary jane shoes. Gothic literature is okay, from a young age I was interested in some of it. I'm not into vampires but love bats. I absolutely love nature and animals, and spend a lot of time outdoors, I grew up by the beach and rainforest. I've met a lot of goths and some were like minded people, one of my closest friends is she's the quintessential gothic version of me. I don't wear corsets and my decor doesn't really reflect goth (I do have some nice posters of Robert Smith and The Cure memoribilla though . I'm also quite a happy person and have been told I smile too much to be *dark*.
Goths, with their dark pelt and loveable call of ‘Argh! The daystar!’, make a popular household pet, but they are susceptible to hot weather and it is recommended to leave them in a dark place with plenty of fluids – preferably a pub serving cider and black – during the summer.
As I continue to look through old post (there isn't much to do this week at work without our new teams... we are kind of in limbo--- not much else to do...) I have to share a semi-funny (or only funny to me) story... First let me say that I'm not Goth, I just feel uncomfortable wearing anything else besides grey, black and blue. In high school, my senior year, my friends and I had this group called Goth Friday - every Friday we would dress Goth. At lunch we would put down a black table cloth, with a black candle and write in our book with black paper with a black pen (I still have this book) (those are the books you are supposed to write with shimmer pens). Robert Smith was our president and Billy Corgan was our treasurer (I think we have since upgraded him to VP). Our tag line was Goth Friday, I'm in love. The art teacher even got into it and would wear black on Fridays. This past October we decided to resurrect Goth Friday in honor of my birthday (and maybe Halloween). Since we no longer work together, we would just take selfies (gothies?) and upload them to FB.
Oh and we had names- I was Charlotte Sumtyms. Grace was Betty Diamond. Sarah was Princess of the Darkness. Amanda was Starla Dear and Dana was Faded Red Siouxie-Ann (pronounced soo-ix-ee) I lost touch with Amanda and Dana throughout the years, but Grace, Sarah and I all had a good time in October...
It was my first experience as a wide-eyed little 9 year old girl staring at the MTV in wonder. amazement and maybe a little lust... It could set anyone down the goth road, or semi-goth road...

Have to admit, I love how silly this video was. But goth was the last thing I thought when I saw it!
sang, I agree... I feel a bit loyal to this video since it started it all for me... In all honestly they probably chose it because it is one of their most popular ones...
