The new stuff was a bit flat but the classics were great. Gig was a slow starter but Dave fell flat on his face and broke a mic early on, Marty took over for the rest of the song and it just took off from that point forward. Rained a bit which just added to lights and atmosphere

I feel you. I saw them in September for the first time. Feel like it was at least 20 years too late. I don't think I've ever felt that way after a TC show... Save
Dave Gahan was singing Heroes in a pub covers band before DM were even a thing - so a fairly sincere tribute even if it did come perilously close to sounding like U2. As a Bowie nut, I'm not going to complain about his back catalogue getting an airing - the songs are good enough to survive most bands having a go. (Not The Cure though, their YA is dire!)
